Meet Our Staff...
Each of our staff members are fully licensed, insured, bonded, and carefully trained to provide professional and compassionate care to all of our clients. A Better Solution gets atleast two quality referrals for each new staff member and performs criminal background checks through the Washington State Patrol & 5 year driving abstracts, ensuring that only the best become a part the team. In addition, all Personal Care staff are required to become Nurse Delegated Registered Nursing Assistants within 90 days of hire.

Morgen Springer is co-owner and administrator of A Better Solution. She's been providing care to the elderly and special needs for several years and uses this knowledge to implement a higher standard in the home care industry. She provided direct care to Carol's mother Pauline and worked closely with Carol to develop an agency that would be able to offer a new assisted living alternative to the community. Morgen is also certified to provide educational training classes to her staff like The Fundamentals of Caregiving and continuing education courses that allow nursing assistants to maintain their registration status. It is her most sincere hope that the people of the community will realize that they do have new options involving their care and leaving their home does not have to be the answer.

Carol Thayer is co-owner of A Better Solution and has been involved in the home-care field for many years. As an overseer for the healthcare of elderly family members she's experienced the need first-hand for home-care agencies.
For many years she was the personal caregiver to her mother who had been stricken with Alzheimer's disease, and has since passed.
She also has extensive knowledge and experience with Huntington's disease, ALS, and mental illness. As a local to Camano Island since 1963, she has direct knowledge of the need for home-care services in the area and knows that by offering this service, she is able to provide care to those who have found it difficult to receive these services from other agencies.

Lorinda Achenbach is Home Care Supervisor of A Better Solution. After providing direct care services to our clients for two years as a Registered Nursing Assistant, and demonstrating her compassion and drive for nothing short of superior quality of care, A Better Solution offered her a step up into administration, feeling safe in knowing that our clients' and caregivers' needs would be met with kindness and professionalism. Lorinda is responsible for providing on-going support to both the client and care provider. |
