Welcome to A Better Solution Home Care, Stanwood/Camano Island's first and only licensed home care agency. We were founded and named on the principle of providing better quality care to individuals in their own homes. This means that as an agency, we offer a better solution for aging, special needs care, and home care in general. Instead of nursing homes and assisted living communities, people are now able to stay home, more so than ever before. And we at A Better Solution are there to help.
In 2004, owners Morgen and Carol sat down and began brainstorming better ways to care for individuals that need a little extra help with daily tasks. The solution was waiting there for them in their own homes. It was hidden under the sink where the cleaning solution is kept, in the refrigerator where the food is safely stored, and everywhere a person may find themselves throughout the day. You see, the solution was this: help people do whatever it takes to keep them in their own homes comfortably. For the client, this means 'round the clock care that will allow them to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. For the owners it means offering a carefully selected staff that is able to efficiently provide the care needed.
We gladly offer our services to seniors who need in-home assisted living, individuals with special needs, and anybody who just wants some extra help around the house. This means that our services are all-inclusive. We provide personal care, including nurse delegated tasks; meal preparation and housekeeping; respite relief; and live-in care. All care services we provide are based on our 155-point assessment, so we're sure to cover all needs. In Memory Of Pauline Kempthorn
May 27th 1927 - August 8th 2005
Pauline wasn't just Carol's mother, she was the very person that inspired us to create A Better Solution Home Care.
May we never forget the devistation that is Alzheimer's, or the very special person that is often masked by the disease.
Until we see you again- may you reunite with those who left before you, and live the next stage with sound mind and body. We will forever love and miss you Pauline.
